Rook started soccer this spring and it is so hilarious to watch him learn to figure it out. In his first practice, he took a couple of breaks and sat down on the ground to eat granola bars. I wasn't there, but had sent some just in case. That won't happen again. When the coach said, come on over Rook, he said "I'll be there in a minute". Nice.

Rook loves to score goals and did score 2 in his first game. He is learning quickly how to turn the ball around and go the other way and to get back up when he falls. He's also learning that everyone laughs when he runs like a chicken, when he falls down after every shot, and that the games are very close to a park. On Saturday he really just wanted to play at the park with his cousin Jaxon instead of playing soccer.
Uncle Johnny and cousin Jaxon were in town for the MWC Basketball tournament and they spent Saturday with us. It was super fun and the kids worshiped Jaxon. He was such a good sport and played with them all day. John brought the kids Christmas presents since we didn't get to see them at Christmas time. Little bears that hum or sing when you press their tummies. The kids LOVE them. Mattie also made little books for Sacrament Meeting with condensed scripture stories and each prophet in them. They are fabulous. Thank you Aunt Mattie.
